WELCOME!  SURPRISE! A New Show added to my calendar!

I was just invited to be in the Cheesman Art Festival July 25 -26!!  There was a last minute cancellation by another artist and I was asked to replace them, so come this weekend and see my floral paintings at this historic Denver park. Admission is free and there's parking on the streets the hours are from 9am to 5pm.

The summer is here and it's time for outdoor art shows! I will be traveling next week for the  ARTWALK Festival in Liberty Station/ San Diego at the end of July (7/31 to 8/2), then later back home for the Summer Art Market @ the Art Students League of Denver (August 22 to 23) and finally I'll be in the one day show, AFFORDABLE ART FESTIVAL in Littleton, Colorado that is at the end of  August (8/30). As I receive more information about these summer art shows I will post it here and in my newsletters!

I find inspiration in our natural world whether it is a majestic vista, waves crashing on a beach, a vase of flowers, or a beautiful garden. Nature in all its glory is fascinating to me. Architecture also finds its way into my work. It could be how sunlight is hitting on the building, a detail above a doorway, an archway with columns, or an interesting interior scene that captivates me. Sometimes I create an abstract painting when a realistic painting would not quite convey all the various meanings for that imagery.
